Full Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a senior developer who is intimately familiar with JavaScript, React, NextJS, and NodeJS for our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented self-starter who is comfortable working cross-functionally to understand requirements and reach consensus on deliverables striving for building high quality software in a rapid agile fashion. They will have deep knowledge of JavaScript and how it works for both a front-end application as well as a back-end API.
Responsibilities
- Work on a broad set of features on our frontend web application as well as our back-end API.
- Work closely with product managers to design and develop the product's functionality.
- Design and write secure, maintainable code.
- Technically lead major projects and features while mentoring other developers, and leading design and code reviews.
Skills
- Self-starter and objective driven; comfortable with ambiguity and willing to work collaboratively on solutions to problems. - required
- Experience with NodeJS, NextJS, Prisma, React, Material UI and or other modern JavaScript frameworks - required
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL - highly preferred
- Experience with Redis, Kafka, and WebSockets - highly preferred
- Proficiency with development tools such as JetBrains, GIT, yarn, and linux - highly preferred
- Experience with creating unit tests. (Mocha and Chai) - preferred
- Experience with writing e2e tests (Playwright) -preferred
Requirements
- Access to reliable broadband internet; Able to participate in regular voice and video calls over Zoom and Microsoft Teams during US East Coast (ET) working hours.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Motivation to understand our business and the needs of our users.
- 7+ years of full-stack experience designing and building high-volume, scalable SaaS applications from end-to-end.
- Passion for continued learning and a track record of picking up new technologies and skills.
Requirements
