Solutions Architect/Platform Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Solutions Architect/Platform Engineer to design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions using Azure technologies. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of software development, cloud architecture, security, and DevOps, helping shape our technical direction while mentoring development teams. 

Your responsibilities: 

• Take ownership of product delivery. Lead architectural design, implementation, and deployment of enterprise-scale products utilizing cloud technologies (e.g., Azure). 

• Responsible for collaborating with 3rd party cloud service provider and ensure that the product meets all FedRAMP compliance requirements. 

• Design resilient cloud architectures focusing on high availability, security, disaster recovery, scalability and performance optimization. 

• Develop and implement secure DevSecOps practices and infrastructure. 

• Create and maintain development, testing, and production environments that promote efficiency and quality. 

• Drive technical decisions through architecture reviews and documentation. 

• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining performance requirements. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. 

• Support customer production environments. 

• Mentor development teams on cloud best practices and security standards. 

• Incorporate newer technologies into product development. 

Requirements

• Active CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III compliant) 

• 8+ years of IT experience with demonstrated expertise in: 

• 3+ years architecting Azure cloud solutions (App Services, Functions, Data Services) 

• 3+ years implementing Azure DevSecOps pipelines and practices 

• 3+ years working with container technologies and orchestration 

• 3+ years designing development and testing environments 

• Proven experience with: 

• Azure monitoring, logging, and caching services 

• Create and maintain Azure platforms 

• Cloud cost optimization and resource management 

• Security scanning tools (Fortify, SonarQube, CAST) 

• Version control systems (Azure DevOps, Git) 

• Strong background in secure software design principles 

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience 

• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences 

• Eligible to receive required access to Gov Cloud. 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related engineering discipline/experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification 

• Experience with multi-cloud architectures
