Full Job Description
About the Opportunity
At Skyven Technologies, we have developed a revolutionary heat pump technology to decarbonize industrial heat and move the needle on climate change. Our technologies have the potential to completely eliminate on-site CO2 emissions from industrial steam. We implement this technology through an innovative Energy-as-a-Service model that provides clean process heat to industrial facilities. We identify, fund, design, build, and install our cutting-edge, decarbonization technologies to help industrial manufacturers reach their sustainability goals, while minimizing their risk and reducing their operational expenses.
Industrial heat is responsible for roughly 20% of global CO2 emissions. That’s roughly equivalent to emissions generated by all transportation (including land, sea, and air) and is a compelling business opportunity – it will take an estimated $3.7 trillion in capital investment to decarbonize the sector by 2050. Skyven is at the forefront of this transformation and has recently been selected for a $145M investment from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate the deployment of our state-of-the-art Skyven Arcturus steam-generating heat pumps (SGHPs) at manufacturing facilities nationwide, revolutionizing how we address energy needs while combating climate change.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to join our team during the early phases of product development, detailed pre-design, and pre-manufacturing for Skyven’s Arcturus Steam Generating Heat Pump product. Reporting directly to the VP of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, this role will lead sourcing activities and work closely with internal engineering teams to source and manage third-party vendors to fulfill Skyven’s component and material requirements. This role will be an individual contributor. Ideal candidates will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment and be eager to contribute to our growth.

- Large and small water pumps/motors/VFDs in the range of tens of hp up to 2500hp
- Custom engineered and fabricated pressure vessels
- Water and steam valves, both small bore and large bore
- Miscellaneous piping components
- Control system instruments, flowmeters, and actuators
- Skid-mounted fluid control systems for water and lubricant
- Switchgear and transformers

- Source and engage new value-added suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms, and logistics for services such as painting, welding, and powder coating
- Source and engage regional suppliers for large components, such as pressure vessels, where transportation and logistics costs are prohibitive
- Perform preliminary technical gap analysis on initial component specifications and information that clearly don't meet requirements.
- Prepare Request for Proposal and Quotation (RFP/RFQ) using internal specifications
- Convert specification, costing, modeling, and design engineering data from supplier bids and gap analysis into user-friendly formats for internal teams
- Catalog data sheets for selected components in documentation system
