Role Responsibilities
As a WeSolv Summer MBA Marketing Associate, projects will focus in either Product Marketing or Channel Marketing, whichever the candidate has a demonstrated ability or interest to learn. Projects will focus on the following areas, with the potential to suggest other projects as well during the duration of the internship:
Product Marketing:
- Marketing Page Optimization: WeSolv is looking to optimize our website flow, messaging, and functionality (essentially the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX)) as they are critical to improving and optimizing conversions for multiple stakeholders to either host Case Challenges to source more diverse candidates (Companies,) or complete Case Challenges to gain more experience and land the role (Candidates).
- Company Value Proposition and Messaging Research: WeSolv is looking to identify the top 3-5 value propositions for companies to use WeSolv. By incorporating outside research and user interviewing, findings will be incorporated into optimizing outbound marketing and sales messaging and refining our understanding of the early customer journey.
Channel Marketing:
- WeSolv Student Ambassador Program: As a two-sided marketplace, WeSolv must continue to build relationships with our candidate pool (composed primarily of MBA candidates and graduates) and hiring enterprise companies. It’s important that we continue to develop ongoing relationships with career offices and student organizations of business schools in addition to potential enterprise customers to use the WeSolv platform. WeSolv is looking to build a Student Ambassador Program among other mechanisms to mobilize a diverse community of MBAs across the nation to spread the word about WeSolv and Case Challenges.
- Candidate Messaging Analysis: The WeSolv Summer MBA Marketing Associate will have the opportunity to analyze prior marketing communications and explore what content, messaging, and positioning resonates with graduate-level candidates.
Requirements
Product Marketing Focus:
- Ability to structure targeted user research interviews and incorporate findings into impactful marketing recommendations.
- Proven experience as a content creator or copywriter responsible for creating compelling newsletters, email campaigns, blogs, case studies, thought leadership pieces, guides, etc..
- Ability to distill complex technical processes into accessible messaging understood by a general audience.
- Ability to map out the customer journey at each touchpoint in a marketing funnel. Prior experience in conversion optimization is a plus.
- Ability to create and implement effective marketing plans for identified channels to engage candidates in WeSolv Case Challenges.
- Prior experience working with Asana, WordPress, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and/or HotJar a plus.
Channel Marketing Focus:
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with ambassadors to ensure continued involvement and compliance with WeSolv’s branding, messaging, and communications.
- Ability to monitor and analyze the performance of channel marketing campaigns to identify areas for improvement and optimize strategies.
- Ability to develop targeted content specifically for ambassadors, such as co-branded materials, training manuals, or sales presentations.
- Ability to equip channel partners with the necessary resources, training, and marketing materials to effectively market WeSolv and Case Challenges.
- Ability to segment candidates into distinct groups with similar needs and preferences, allowing for tailored channel strategies.
- Prior experience working with Asana, WordPress, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and/or HotJar a plus.
