Nestled next to the Uinta National Forest in the southern Wasatch Range, Discovery Ranch for Boys is a residential treatment center for teenage boys. We are relationship-based and use experiential therapy to help families reconnect and heal. Make a lasting impact by joining the Discovery Ranch team.
As our Art Teacher, you will provide traditional art instruction to a diverse student body in the unique setting of a residential treatment ranch. Our students come from all across the country and globe and are facing a number of challenges, such as emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. Experiential activities and healthy relationships are the foundation of lasting change. There is perhaps no better marriage of the two than in the freedom of expression provided by art, with the support of a caring teacher.
Duties include:
- Classroom Management
- Teach art and design principles
- Enhance art curriculum
- Promote skill development in various art mediums
- Help students learn to enjoy artistic expression
We need an engaged, creative, and dedicated teacher who sees the value in our students and will help them see it too as they continue their education. Healthy relationships, novel and challenging experiences, and a strengths-based approach are how we foster the healing process and create lasting change, and this happens just as much in the classroom as anywhere else.
Serve families. Be a part of the healing journey. Join the academic team at Discovery Ranch for Boys.
