Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Construction Manager.

Construction Manager to over see the construction of a Geothermal Power Plant. The technology used is an enhanced geothermal system (EGS) based on drilling and fracking techniques from the shale oil and gas industries to overcome traditional limitations with geothermal projects.
The position is a full time position. The project is slated to last until 2033. While the project is located in Utah, candidates can work remotely with trips to the site when needed.
Requirements
Experience:
- Individual must possess at least 5 years of experience in construction management of commercial geothermal power production facilities and geothermal drilling operations, as regards to relevant scale, precision, and supply chain complexity; demonstrated experience in oversight of construction planning, scheduling, and project execution; oversight and review of engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) contractor and subcontractors in support of geothermal power production facilities construction and related component installation and construction safety; oversight and management of vendors and supply chain management; and executive experience in construction management organization development, operations and implementation, and quality assurance compliance/quality control (QA/QC) and health and safety and OSHA compliance.
- Individual must demonstrate experience in assessing effectiveness and execution of contractor performance in executing EPC responsibilities, sub-contractor performance in accordance to requirement and clauses; effectiveness of supply chain management with respect to quality control, delivery schedules, and cost management; effectiveness of a general contractor acting as its own component assembler and system integrator; and demonstrated experience in overseeing management of contractor furnished or government furnished materials for installation in a complex geothermal power production facility.
- Individual must demonstrate ability to assess the effectiveness of construction organizational structure in planning and execution, contracting strategies including incentives and performance measures.
- Individual must demonstrate experience in analyzing the effectiveness and maintenance cost schedule and control systems.
- Individual must demonstrate ability to independently analyze and verify progress of construction organization including analysis of contractor earned value management systems, and effectiveness of change control procedures and configuration management.
- Individual must effectively demonstrate knowledge of balance of system (BOS) installation, installation of components and construction within a geothermal power production facility.
Education: Individual must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines, physical sciences, public or business administration related to technical, manufacturing or construction management. An advanced degree at the master’s level is preferred but not necessary in consideration of relevant work experience.
