Oasis Ascent is a short-term residential treatment program for teenagers located in Millcreek, Utah. The families we serve are in crisis and need support keeping their child safe right now. At Oasis Ascent, we provide thorough assessment, around-the-clock secure care, and intensive support to young men. We provide a safe setting for adolescents to stabilize where they and their families meet with licensed clinicians to determine the underlying causes of distress and what next steps make the most sense for their needs.
As our Director of Nursing, you will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. Your nursing team will be able to do their best in caring for our students under your managerial and administrative leadership. Responsibilities:
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the Nursing Department that work toward the larger program goals and vision
- Direct day-to-day functions of Nursing Department
- Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (RN, LPN, MA, CNA)
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards
- Assist in developing and maintaining structure, procedure, and policies for success, compliance, and accountability in your department while maintaining strong collaboration and cooperation with all members of the leadership team
Nurse:
- Provide quality medical services to our students
- Model and train to industry best practices
- Communicate with families about their child’s medical well-being, including sharing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain a holistic treatment approach
Manager:
- Lead departmental meetings
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
- Guide staffing procedures
- Assist in recruiting for you department
- Supervise your team of nurses
- Ensure adequate staffing following budgeted Patient Per Day ratios
Quality Assurance Provider:
- Ensure appropriate documentation and record keeping
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- Ensure your department has appropriate training and ongoing validation of skills and techniques
- Conduct audits
Administrator:
- Coordinate and facilitate organizational trainings as it relates to your department as needed
- Assist in licensing and accreditation maintenance (Joint Commission experience preferred)
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures

Requirements
Please ensure your resume includes education, work experience, certifications, and licenses
- Current Registered Nurse in the State of Utah with no history of misconduct
- Must possess clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Must be positive, professional, and reliable
- BLS and First Aid certification (may obtain this within 30 days of hire)
- Must have experience with passing medications to multiple patients
- 12+ months of experience more preferred
- 21+ years of age
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Eligible to work in the USA
- Able to pass motor vehicle record check
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
Preferred
- Professional experience in residential treatment setting
