Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

We are currently in search of reliable and motivated Forklift Operators/Warehouse Workers to join our growing team in our Distribution Center pipe yard located in Salt Lake City! Your responsibility is to accurately and quickly service a very fast paced client base while maintaining the highest quality and safety in the industry. We are looking for candidates with a stable work history who are looking for long term careers with a great company. Ideal candidates will possess knowledge and skill in FIFO principals, as well as RF scanning equipment.

We are offering a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus!

These positions work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday and pay $20.75/hr.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate forklift equipment effectively and safely; maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
• Perform duties within the RF processes in place.
• Accurately pick, stack, wrap and stage outbound freight; to ensure warehouse goals are met.
• Implement work in the prescribed sequence so deliver-by-date is met;
• Work proficiently to meet Productivity, Quality and Safety targets;
• Load/unload trucks
• Maintain a strict housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S protocols.
• Report unsafe work conditions/environment in a timely basis;
• Contribute to the success of the team.
• Cycle Counts.
• Stock Replenishment.
• Receiving and locating product using RF technology.

Requirements

• Completion of a high-school diploma & 18 years old.
• Stable work history (vs. job hopping), preferably in a fast paced warehouse/yard environment
• Safely operate various forklift equipment. Prior experience with cherry pickers and high reach machinery is an asset.
• Meet daily timelines and work in an environment, where assignments and work priorities are reviewed several times a day.
• Ability to use RF technology.
• Work well as a team but be self-motivated and independent at times
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read and write in English.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds repeatedly
• Successful completion of a drug screen, physical, and criminal background check

• Ongoing requirement of physical activities including lifting, bending, walking
• Ability to stay on your feet for long periods at a time
• Willingness to work in varying working conditions, including indoors and outdoors
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced and changing environment
