Nestled next to the Uinta National Forest in the southern Wasatch Range, Discovery Ranch for Boys is a residential treatment center. We are relationship-based and use experiential therapy.
As our History Teacher, you will provide traditional classroom instruction while working with a diverse student body. Our students come from all across the country and globe and are facing a number of challenges, such as emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. Mornings are devoted to therapy work while school is held in the afternoon, the ideal time for academic engagement in adolescents.
We need an engaged, creative, and dedicated teacher who sees the value in our students and will help them see it too as they continue their education. Our History Teacher will work as part of our larger team in providing integrated care services to our students, which naturally includes meeting their academic needs. Healthy relationships, novel and challenging experiences, and a strengths-based approach are how we foster the healing process and create lasting change, and this happens just as much in the classroom as anywhere else.
Serve families. Be a part of the healing journey. Join the academic team at Discovery Ranch for Boys.
