POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager is a newly created position to enable Vasion’s continued rapid growth. The role is primarily responsible for financial accounting, reporting and period close reconciliations. This person is a key resource to the entire Vasion team and contributor to the successful financial management of the business. The accounts receivable and accounts payable functions report to the Accounting Manager. Other key internal relationships include the payroll manager, FP&A manager, business operations manager and human resources. Key external relationships include the Company’s bank, auditors, and software and information systems vendors and service providers.
KEY OBJECTIVES
- As a member of the management team, contribute to the development and implementation of accounting, reporting and compliance systems and strategies that optimize Vasion’s objectives.
- Lead and instill best practices in the accounting function to ensure integrity and timeliness in financial reporting, internal controls and compliance.
- Under the direction of the Controller, serve as a key resource of financial and planning information for company management, information Systems, income and sales tax compliance, customer success, and other Vasion teams.
Specific Responsibilities
- Utilize Vasion’s NetSuite accounting and ERP platform to manage and optimize the financial accounting and reporting function. Serve as a key resource for financial data and reporting from NetSuite.
- Prepare all accounting and financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Primary contributor to budgeting, planning, forecasting, cash management and cash flow planning.
- Serve as a key resource of financial information and analysis for management and other internal teams.
- Interface with external auditors, bankers, and vendors of other financial products and services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in public accounting - audit side preferably Big4.
- In-depth understanding of, and experience with, GAAP accounting and reporting.
- Experience with NetSuite preferred.
- Track record of working well with teams at all organizational levels.
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA
