Position Overview:
ICAST is looking to hire a Multifamily Home Inspector who will perform QA/QC & Punch list inspections of completed MF projects. As an Inspector you will interface with ICAST staff and customers to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with program & contractual obligations.
Requirements
Must Have Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Home/Building/Construction Inspections experience
- Possess current OSHA 30 Certification w/ confined spaces endorsement
- Possess current UT Home Inspectors certification from an accredited institution (such as InterNACHI)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inspections of Multifamily dwellings
- Experience with inspections related to Weatherization work
- Some experience with performing Healthy Homes Inspections
- Strong Computer and Communication Skills
- Ability to effectively work independently or as part of a team
- Proficient with M365 (MS Office suite of products)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (& surrounding areas)
Reports to: QA/QC Manager
Skill Level: Intermediate
Education: Relevant degree or suitable alternative.
Areas of Expertise: Home Inspection, Building Inspection, Construction Inspection
Compensation: $60K of DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly monitors construction project sites to ensure plans are being followed and building/safety codes are met while maintaining detailed and accurate records of installed measures and work performed.
- Develop punch lists from inspection.
- Liaising with contractors and customers to ensure that punch list items are adequately addressed.
- Performing final QA/QC field inspections at project sites to ensure that finished project is of high quality and meets all customer & program obligations.
- Completes reporting as necessary for project tracking & close-out.
- Communicates potential and realized risks, issues, concerns to Manager with the appropriate sense of urgency as required by the situation.
Goals:
- Learn energy efficiency and program requirements within 30 days and be productive member of ICAST.
