Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to Support company operations and decision-making through data analysis, dashboarding, ad-hoc analyses, and other project support. This position is an excellent opportunity to be involved in strategic, meaningful initiatives and grow within a high-performance technology company that has a fun and innovative culture.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to architect solutions to problems
• ETL data from various sources to create accurate and efficient datasets
• Create accurate, intuitive, and interactive dashboards that drive informed decisions
• Perform accuracy and functionality audits on data, datasets, dashboards, etc
• Help finance and product teams develop strategies for data collection and organization
• Develop new KPIs and Dashboards that aren’t explicitly asked for by stakeholders
• Perform Ad-Hoc analyses to support the strategic needs of the company. These analyses might require using other tools/methods such as:
• SalesforceExcel/Sheets
• RStudio
• Python
• Perform or assist with change-management of software and reports
• Assist with data-quality cleanup needs as they are identified
• Develop training materials for stakeholders based on existing or new processes
• Pursue continuing education in tools, strategies, methods, trends, and other related areas
• Present new ideas, problems, and processes to teammates and other stakeholders as relevant
• Perform root-cause analysis to determine the best course of corrective action, and develop a strategy to eliminate the issue using scalable solutions.
• Work with others to develop sales forecasts, budgets, quotas, expense plans, etc.

Requirements

• Has at least 3 years of charting and dashboard experience in Domo, Tableau, or Power BI
• Has experience using Snowflake and dbt
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Understands and can communicate with general business functions
• Experience working with finance and/or product teams with a basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Has experience working in Tech, preferably with a SaaS/Subscription based B2B company
• Understands KPIs that are foundational to SaaS based software companies
• Ability to problem solve while considering the needs and motivations of various stakeholders
• A Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field is required. An MBA is also preferred.
