Sr. Director of Global Logistics

We are currently looking for a Sr. Director of Global Logistics. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the logistics strategy for our global supply chain. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics functions across multiple countries, ensuring seamless and efficient product movement from suppliers to customers. This is a leadership role that requires expertise in international logistics, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration. This person will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Key Responsibilities:

• Global Logistics Strategy:
  Develop and implement a comprehensive global logistics strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and scalable fulfillment of nutritional products to DTC customers across multiple regions (North America, Europe, APAC, and other emerging markets).
• Supply Chain Optimization:
  Identify opportunities to optimize the logistics network, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience. Leverage data analytics and technology to improve visibility, track performance, and drive continuous improvement across all logistics touchpoints.
• International Freight Management:
  Oversee international freight operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, customs, and import/export compliance. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Warehouse & Distribution Management:
  Direct and optimize warehousing, inventory management, and distribution functions across key regions. Ensure warehouses are strategically located to meet the needs of a fast-growing DTC business. Collaborate with 3PLs and internal teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and reduce delivery times.
• Technology & Automation:
  Lead the integration and implementation of logistics technologies and automation tools that improve operational efficiency. Work with the IT and data analytics teams to leverage technology for end-to-end supply chain visibility and optimization.
• Team Leadership:
  Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global logistics team. Team includes direct reports as well as market-centric, indirect reports. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive a customer-centric mindset across logistics teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Risk Management & Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with all international trade laws, regulations, and safety standards. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, natural disasters, political instability, and other potential challenges.
• Sustainability & Innovation:
  Lead initiatives to improve the sustainability of our logistics operations, including exploring more eco-friendly transportation options, packaging solutions, and energy-efficient warehousing. Stay informed on industry trends and innovations in logistics to position the brand as a leader in the field.
• Budget & Performance Management:
  Manage the global logistics budget, ensuring cost control while maintaining high levels of service. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics performance and drive accountability through regular performance reviews.

Requirements

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in global logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a DTC or e-commerce-driven business.
• Extensive experience managing complex, international logistics operations, including cross-border shipping, customs compliance, and warehousing.
• Proven track record of leading logistics optimization initiatives and managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs) across multiple geographies.
• Experience in multi-country, nutritional or food-related logistics preferred.
• Experience in MLM/Direct Sales industry preferred.

Skills:

• Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Deep knowledge of international freight, customs regulations, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Experience with logistics technologies (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP systems) and automation tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Languages:

• Fluency in English required
• Additional language skills (Korean, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus.

Travel:

• Occasional international travel (up to 30%, every other month, for a period of 10 days) to key markets and logistics partners.
