Full Job Description
Auria is actively seeking Systems Engineers in Roy UT or Huntsville AL to support the Sentinel / Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring and enforcing consistency on the Model-Based implementation of the architecture design. They will work with the SE&I team engineers, as well as with Program and Element Systems Engineering teams. Work location for UT is Hill Air Force Base, and for AL is near Redstone Arsenal.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Job Responsibilities:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), develop of requirements and multiple system engineering models
- Performing customer requirements elicitation leading to Requirements Development
- Coordination & collaboration with the System Engineering and Command & Launch Segment System Engineering Teams
- Supporting system, segment, element and unit level trade studies
- Definition of high-level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation
- Supporting a team of engineers to create, mature and present comprehensive and cohesive technical charts representative of the appropriate level of maturation for any given milestone meeting and demonstrating team readiness in relation to achieving the milestone entrance and exit criteria
- Identifying required contractual deliverables and non-contractual documentation and driving corresponding updates to closure
- Coordinating and collaborating with diverse engineering design teams to assist in managing the technical baseline
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0-4 years of experience.
- Systems Engineer level 1 requires Bachelor's Degree (STEM) and 5 years of related experience.
- Systems Engineer level 2 requires Bachelor's Degree (STEM) and 10 years of related experience.
- Systems Engineer level 3 requires Bachelor's Degree (STEM) and 15 years of related experience.
- US Citizenship and Active DoD Secret clearance, granted or re-investigated within last 6 years with ability to obtain Special Program Access.
- Experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, Sparx EA, DOORS, Teamcenter, SysML and UAF
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture or MagicDraw or other architecture modeling tools
- Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
- Familiarity with Model- Driven Systems Engineering languages (SysML /UML) and concepts and CORE knowledge a plus
- Excellent technical writing skills, and team building skills
- Experience with complex system development on large programs
- Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers
- Experience with DoDAF and UPDM or UAF Profiles
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications (skills, education & experience) and the position level ($95,000 - $175,000).
