Polyonics Rubber Company is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Vendor Relationship Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing strategic relationships with our vendors and suppliers to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain.
As a Vendor Relationship Manager, you will work closely with our procurement and logistics teams to assess vendor performance, negotiate contracts and pricing, and resolve any issues or disputes that arise. You will also be involved in vendor selection and evaluation, identifying new suppliers that can meet our quality and cost requirements.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in vendor management and a deep understanding of supply chain operations. You should have excellent negotiation and communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong and long-term relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage multiple vendor relationships, prioritize tasks, and solve problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Assess vendor performance and provide feedback and recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
- Resolve any issues or disputes that arise with vendors.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Conduct vendor audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Identify and evaluate potential new vendors to expand our supplier network.
- Stay informed about market trends and changes in vendor landscape.
- Prepare and present reports on vendor performance and supply chain metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in vendor management or procurement.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain operations and best practices.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
