Full Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Employee Lifecycle Management
- Payroll +Benefits Administration
- Compliance + Safety

Employee Lifecycle Management: Recruiting, Onboarding, Training, Retention, Offboarding
- Manage the recruitment and hiring process
- Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand job responsibilities
- Design and implement employee retention strategies
- Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
- Gather employee feedback through focus groups, surveys, and exit interviews to improve employee relations and quality of workplace
Payroll + Benefits Administration & Strategy:
- Administer bi-weekly payroll in accordance with company policies and state and federal laws
- Oversee the benefits administration and maintain vendor relationships with benefits brokers
- Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
Compliance + Safety:
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee the safety measures for Farmhouse Pottery
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
Culture Building:
- Nurture a positive working environment through open communication and implementation of best practices
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing issues that arise
- Plan events designed to strengthen team culture

Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years work experience as HR Generalist or HR Manager
- People-oriented and results-driven
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute
- Experience with the human resources tools such as Paylocity, Workable, or similar.
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
- Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
- Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
- Highly desired: SHRM-CP or PHR certifications
