Full Job Description
The Program Director provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the CCE's community engagement programs using best practices to promote students’ civic learning and commitment, including developing educational partnerships with community collaborators. The Program Director also contributes to the development of community-connected teaching, learning, and research.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $63,009 - $78,787 per year.
Core Responsibilities:
- Advance community based learning in the curriculum, including: Coordinate and manage the Project Assistant program that trains student staff to support faculty instructing community connected project based learning courses; instruct at least one CCE-sponsored course per academic year.
- Design and manage CCE data and assessment protocols; Work across CCE team to assess programmatic goals and impact.
- Oversee the Community Engagement Organizations, the alternative break program, and select student-led organizations, including management of $80K budget, risk management protocols, advising team initiatives, and curricula that support development of civic skills and commitment.
- Supervise the CCE’s Assistant Director, Youth & Educational Partnerships.
- Develop and present CCE workshops and presentations with stakeholders across campus; Oversee the introduction of community engagement to new students in partnership with Orientation programs.
- Administer and provide strategic leadership of the Public Service Leadership Awards and grant programs that support civic leadership.
- Cultivate campus-wide relationships, off-campus partnership networks, and external constituencies to strengthen connections and learning opportunities among all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Experiential Learning Centers leadership teams regarding best practices for service, risk management, reflection, and assessment.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or other related field, with 5 or more years related experience.
- Deep understanding of and experience implementing best practices in undergraduate civic engagement and/or experiential learning educational programs (curricular and co-curricular).
- Experience designing and leading educational programs in partnership with communities.
- Commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion; experience in intercultural communication and learning.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as a contributor and facilitator in a collaborative team; Experience with setting own priorities and taking initiative in a strategic manner.
- Ability to lead and motivate professional staff and student staff colleagues and supervisees.
- Proven budget management skills; Able to manage several projects at once in an adaptable and flexible manner.
- Deep understanding of the liberal arts education model along with the challenges and opportunities of incorporating community engagement.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
