Key Responsibilities:
- Process insurance claims, verifying coverage and managing denials.
- Accurately track and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile payments and ensure timely invoicing.
- Maintain patient accounts and manage billing records.
- Utilize specialized billing software for data entry and reporting.
- Collaborate with the front office team and practice owner to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
- Disciplined attention to detail is a must
- Previous experience in insurance billing and accounts receivable, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting.
- Proficiency in billing software and strong general computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with insurance providers and team members.
- Compassionate professionalism – the ability to interact well with patients while maintaining professional demeanor and attitude of caring.
- Experience with provider credentialing and payroll management a plus.
