We are looking for a dynamic Business Process Analyst to join our team! The Organizational Development Specialist will conduct organizational assessments, develop and implement strategies, facilitate change management, support leadership development, analyze employment program data, make recommendations, and research and analyze occupational skills gained during military service.
- Preferred location: National Capital Region
- This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, gather data, and develop process models
- Using various tools and techniques such as process mapping, value stream analysis, and statistical analysis to identify areas of improvement
- Developing and implementing process improvement plans and standard operating procedures
- Partnering with leadership to train new processes and monitor performance to ensure sustained improvement
- Manages and supports the analysis, design, development, and implementation of diverse, enterprise-wide processes and application systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity
- Analyzes customers’ business requirements, identifies gaps or discrepancies, and follows up as needed to eliminate these gaps
- Build relationships across the organization to understand the direction better and identify future client solutions and business needs
- Refines process map and procedures/process steps
- Efficiently communicate and correspond with internal/external stakeholders
- Leads weekly program meetings in the absence of the Lead Program Analyst
- Collaborating with internal/external clients on changes to deliverables
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of experience
- Experience with Business Process Improvement and/or Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Expert knowledge of MS Office suite
- Ability to communicate proficiently verbally and written to all levels of client leadership
- Deep understanding of business processes and process improvement methodologies
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and completeness of process documentation and analysis
- Experience with process mapping, process improvement methodologies, and process modeling software
- Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Tier 3 Clearance
Required Skills:
- Analytical skills to analyze and evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to address process inefficiencies
- Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor process improvement initiatives
- Communication skills to communicate with stakeholders at all hierarchy levels effectively, verbally and written
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues that may arise during process improvement initiatives
- Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Desired Skills:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt
- Government contracting experience
- DoD and VA experience as a contractor or otherwise
- Former military experience
