Job Overview: As a Cost Analyst at Hummingbirds Innovations, you will be responsible for analyzing and estimating the costs associated with various projects and programs. This role involves working closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost projections and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The Cost Analyst will also contribute to cost benefit analysis, financial modeling, and budget forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project requirements and develop cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to establish and maintain project budgets.
- Monitor actual costs against planned budgets and identify any discrepancies or risks.
- Prepare cost reports and financial analysis to support project reviews and decision-making.
- Conduct cost benefit analysis to assess the financial viability of proposed projects.
- Assist in developing financial models and forecasts to support business planning.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on cost optimization and cost control strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost analysis and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and cost estimation techniques.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Competency in at least two types of analysis.
- Must have an active favorable T1.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within the DoD.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within AFMRA.
- Competency in at least four types of analysis
