About Time Study:
Time Study, Inc (timestudy.com) is a high-growth, early-stage company that aims to empower executives with actionable data to drive workforce effectiveness. Time Study's SaaS platform uses machine intelligence to activate and transform enterprise data into real-time insights on how time is spent (at work) and its impact on workforce effectiveness, operational efficiency, finance, and compliance. As a result, organizations can understand how their most valuable resource, time, is spent with just a few clicks.

Our platform is actively being used by some of the largest marquee health organizations in the US. Time Study is headquartered in Virginia, with remote offices across the United States.
About the Role:
The Director of People will play a critical role in shaping and leading the people operations and talent acquisition functions at Time Study. This role will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the executive team to drive the company's talent strategy, improve organizational performance, and create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management and a proven track record of successfully implementing innovative HR programs and policies for growing companies.

- Working Hours: Flexible, fractional role with an estimated initial commitment of 15-20 hours per week within our core business hours (9am-5pm ET).
- Location: Remote, with preference for candidates in the Richmond, VA metro area.

What You'll Do:
People Operations
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the company's mission, goals, and values.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Educate and partner with the executive team on key employee journey touchpoints, including compensation practices, performance management, promotions, onboarding, training, and offboarding.
- Drive knowledge management and communication to support adoption of People Ops programs and policies.
- Create and drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Talent Acquisition
- Lead the talent acquisition strategy and processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and design effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Implement and oversee diversity and inclusion initiatives to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Organizational Development
- Collaborate with finance and executive team leads to define and manage budgets for compensation and benefits programs.
- Design and implement initiatives for employee retention, engagement, development, recognition, compensation, values, and talent management.
- Develop strategies and initiatives to improve organizational performance and productivity.
- Partner with the CEO and collaborate with the executive team to align HR strategies with business goals and objectives.
- Regularly analyze and report HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
Requirements
What We're Looking For (Ideal Candidates):
- Proven experience as a Director of People, HR Director, or similar HR leadership role.
- Deep understanding of people operations best practices and employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in talent acquisition and managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Strong knowledge of performance management systems and employee engagement strategies.
- Experience implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and drive HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
