Better Future Farms (BFF) is a leading player in the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) industry. We are a rapidly growing greenhouse company that is dedicated to producing high-quality, sustainable, and locally grown produce. Currently, we are seeking a dedicated Greenhouse Associate to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the agriculture industry and contribute to the future of sustainable farming.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily greenhouse operations, including seeding, transplanting, growing, and harvesting crops
- Monitor and maintain the health and growth of plants, including watering, fertilizing, and pest control
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on greenhouse systems and equipment
- Operate and maintain automated greenhouse equipment
- Assist with data collection and analysis for crop monitoring and quality control
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and guidelines
- Contribute to a safe and clean working environment
- Collaborate with other team members to efficiently manage greenhouse operations
Requirements
- Prior experience or education in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is preferred
- Basic knowledge of greenhouse operations and plant care
- Familiarity with common greenhouse equipment and tools
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
