1 Resource Group is seeking a skilled I&C Techncian/ Fire Systems Technician to join our team in Manassas, VA. As a Fire Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fire alarm and suppression systems in commercial and residential buildings.
$45.00 hr
Key Responsibilities:
The I&C Technician shall have skills in system design, configuration and implementation of process control solutions for the semiconductor industry. The candidate must have knowledge of process instrumentation, application installation and commissioning on Fire Systems.
Daily responsibilities include implementation support of the construction of mechanical and process system modifications. The job requires daily interface with construction personnel and facilities engineers and other technicians to coordinate project work in a live running factory. Thus the position demands excellent team player skills. Requires excellent troubleshooting skills for all aspects of controls including wiring and instrumentation etc.
Specific Requirements:
• Participate as a member of the project team working with the client I&C System Owner to ensure accurate and complete project deliverables are provided by the contracted workforce.
• Assist I&C Owner in the following areas:
• Provide Project support for PLC-5 Conversions. Taking PLCs in and out of service and commissioning on a running factory.
• Ensure equipment and overall system OAT / FAT process meets expectations.
• Provide QA/QC on PLC Panels and field devices.
• Review with System Owner and provide technical verification of hardware and instrument installations per design documents.
• Review SI OAT documentation and conduct FATs on behalf of the client.
• Inspect for quality of completed PLC panel hardware and instrumentation installations.
Requirements
Required I&C Experience
• Good technical writing skills, must be able to write work plans for conversion work to be conducted without any unplanned impacts i.e. rotating equipment, workarounds while PLCs are out of service, FATs and bringing systems back on line.
• Custom FATs will also need to be written since there are limitations on what can be done with a live running factory.
• Navigate client systems and understand functionality on screens.
• Basic understanding Allen Bradley PLCs, I/O and Ethernet communication networks.
• Ability to coordinate/interpret P&ID’s and SOO’s.
• Understanding of overall system installation from a construction implementation stand point.
• Troubleshooting of field devices and control hardware and software.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and CHW and HW process systems and operation.
• Shall have experience with all types of instrumentation including Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, Control Valves, AFD’s etc. installation and application.
Preferred System Experience (or similar)
• Edwards Systems Technology (EST) fire alarm and voice evacuation systems (model FCC and IRC3).
• Fenwal AnaLaser and VESDA early warning smoke detection systems.
• Permalert AT-40K liquid leak detection systems.
• MDA, Sieger, and Zellweger toxic and flammable gas detection systems ( Vertex, System 16, CM4, System 57, Digi series, Lifeline II and others).
