Are you an experienced housekeeper with strong leadership skills?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeping) to join The Legacy at North Augusta team. As the Lead EVS Aide, you will oversee all daily cleaning operations to ensure our community provides a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. This role will also provide guidance, training and support to the environmental services team.
The salary range is $16 - $19 based on years of experience.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will begin by reviewing work orders, staff schedules, and any special projects. You'll meet with your team to assign tasks and ensure everyone understands their responsibilities for the day. A large part of your role is conducting inspections of common areas and resident apartments to verify cleaning standards are consistently met.
You'll interact regularly with residents, addressing any housekeeping concerns with patience and compassion. Providing exceptional customer service is key. You'll also manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper safety protocols are followed. The most rewarding aspect is developing a strong rapport with residents and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the practices and procedures of environmental services required
- Ability to operate equipment common with environmental service; must be familiar with the use of detergents, germicides, strippers,and other cleaning/chemical supplies. Able to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and feedback to team members
- Ability to read, write,and follow direct written and oral instructions
- Basic computerand mathskills for record-keeping and inventory management.
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, and provide clear instructions and feedback to team members
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
