Carrell Blanton Ferris & Associates, with 31 years of excellence in estate planning, trust administration, and elder law, is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Richmond office.

About You

If you have 2+ years in a law firm (preferably with trusts and estates), love a collaborative environment, and have a passion for helping others, this could be your ideal role. If you’re newer to the field but eager to learn and build a career, we’d still love to meet you.

  • Strong Communicator: With top-notch verbal and written communication skills, you connect effortlessly with clients, colleagues, and financial institutions alike.

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule meetings and track important deadlines
  • Prepare estate administration binders
  • Draft letters and handle client correspondence
  • Input data into our database and assist with asset retitling
  • Sort, scan mail, open/close matters, and potentially serve as notary for clients
  • Place calls to clients, financial institutions, and courts

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years in probate or trust administration preferred, though not required
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Full-Time: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Summer Fridays: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm)
  • In-Office: This is an onsite role
