Position: Maintenance/Production Engineer
Location: Wytheville, VA Area
Compensation: Base Salary $90,000-$100,000 + Bonus

As a Maintenance/Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in improving our production facilities, enhancing reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Position Summary: The Maintenance/Process Engineer collaborates with the Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisors, Process Engineer, and Plant Manager to enhance production facilities, reduce breakdowns, and implement strategies for improved reliability, efficiency, and safety. You will lead Capex projects, manage them to completion, and step in for the Plant Manager when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Capex projects to enhance facilities.
- Lead projects with Six Sigma, DOE, WIG, and other methodologies.
- Provide backup supervision in the absence of Production Supervisors and the Plant Manager.
- Support and backup the Maintenance Supervisor, including Etime Entry and Contractor Work Order management.
- Act as the Site-Coordinator for Process Controls (Wonderware and Ignition) and MPulse.
- Focus on OEE Improvement (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
- Drive operations and process improvements, reduce scrap, and enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate contractors, including purchase orders, scheduling, and supervision.
- Identify cost avoidance and reduction opportunities.
- Take on process engineering responsibilities for 2nd Ops and Fluorosint.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing equipment and process improvements within an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Project. Willingness to learn other software.
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), consensus-building skills.
- Familiarity with Mini tab, problem-solving techniques (DOE, 5-Why analysis), Lean Green Belt, and DMAIC skills.
- Experience in APQP leadership, including FMEA, Feasibility, and Control Plan development.
- Strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, technical knowledge, financial understanding, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Knowledge of extrusion and molding, and a collaborative team player.
