Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Manager of Operations for our Radiology department. The Manager of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the radiology department, including staff management, budgeting, quality control, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the radiology department
- Supervise and provide guidance to radiology staff, including technologists, assistants, and support personnel
- Ensure that all imaging procedures are performed accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate patient care
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff members
- Manage departmental budget and resources, including equipment procurement and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safety and quality standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiology technology and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in radiology or related field
- 5+ years of experience in radiology, including supervisory or managerial roles
- Knowledge of radiology procedures, equipment, and technology
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with budgeting and resource management
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in radiology
- Proficient in using radiology information systems and other relevant software
- Current certification as a radiologic technologist
- Valid state license in radiology
- Advanced certification or specialization in a specific area of radiology is preferred
