Full Job Description
DocMe360 is in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable Mid-DevOps Engineer to join our growing team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). This position plays a vital role in streamlining and automating our development operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. As a Mid-DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate closely with development and IT teams to build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure, and improve system reliability. You'll be instrumental in fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization. This role may be filled using a 1099, contract-to-hire, or W2 candidate. All applicants must be United States Citizens residing in the United States of America.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines that facilitate automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
- Work with development teams to ensure that code is built, tested, and deployed efficiently.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost management.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system reliability issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for automation and infrastructure improvements.
- Participate in incident response activities and contribute to post-mortem analyses to continuously improve systems.
- Maintain documentation for processes, systems, and operations to support team knowledge transfer.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance existing processes and tools.
- Assist in onboarding new applications and ensuring adherence to DevOps best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role, preferably in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub actions) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., DataDog and Domo) to ensure performance metrics are met.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality software.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps methodologies are desirable.
- Familiarity with in Agile methodologies.
- A proactive attitude towards automating routine tasks and improving efficiency.
