We are looking for a dynamic Senior Defense Program Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Tysons, VA. The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for the leadership and management to help build and execute our Office of the Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OSD P&R) portfolio. The Sr. Program Manager leads a portfolio, which involves developing a business plan that aligns with CATHEXIS’ strategic roadmap, motivating others to commit to that plan, reinforcing CATHEXIS’ value proposition, and holding everyone accountable for their performance. The Sr. Program Manager manages the portfolio by overseeing its project set, setting, reviewing, and controlling budgets, managing and mitigating risk, and ensuring high levels of quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with CATHEXIS policies and procedures. The Sr. Program Manager inspires excellence in delivery, loyalty in their clients, teamwork, and professional growth in all of their employees. The Sr. Program Manager helps build a portfolio by working with the Growth Team, potential clients, and CATHEXIS subject matter experts to shape and win work. The Sr. Program Manager works with the corporate Leadership Team of CATHEXIS and the role inherently includes contributing to the overall success of CATHEXIS through cross-selling, collaboration, and improving enterprise-wide tools and processes.
This position will require travel to the Pentagon 3 to 4 times a month, possibly with short notice, and some meetings in the corporate office in Tyson, VA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the short and long-term planning to achieve CATHEXIS performance goals to meet or exceed sales, revenue, profitability, and other objectives
- Works with the Growth Team to identify, shape, solution, and bid work to help build the portfolio
- Serve as Senior Project Manager through direct contact with Project Managers, clients, and partners to promote outstanding execution
- Set an impeccable standard for integrity and ethical behavior
- Provide day-to-day leadership that reflects the company’s mission and core values to foster a client-oriented and accountable environment
- Ensure implementation of Corporate policies
- Coordinate with corporate staff (i.e., Human Resources (HR), Contracts, Finance & Accounting, as well as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO)) to develop and implement operational systems, processes, and personnel activities to meet growth objectives
- Inspire staff by building trust and fostering the CATHEXIS culture. Demonstrate enthusiasm in communicating Corporate strategy, business goals, and expectations
- Develop next-level leadership through direct mentoring, internal and external training opportunities, and opportunities for increased responsibility
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Corporate objectives
Reporting/Supervisory Responsibilities
- Reports directly to Senior Vice President
- Supervises Project Managers, Site Leads, or Team Leads, responsible for entire team

Requirements
- Secret Clearance or above will be required for this role
- 10+ years of experience as a Project or Program Manager within DoD
- Managing Programs related to Personnel & Readiness, DHA, OFR, Health Affairs, M&R, OFR, CTMO, Human Capital, Human Factors, and/or related programs required
- Bachelor’s degree required or Master’s degree preferred in Project Management, Business, Political Science, Human Resources, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven track record of successful portfolio and program management and business development
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (Preferred)
