We are looking for a dynamic Senior IT Specialist III to join our team. The Senior IT Specialist will design, configure, install, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware and software to support file services, email, print services, web, data transport, and system administration. The Senior IT Specialist will conduct compatibility tests on hardware and software as well as conduct testing/certification of work. They will also recommend and provide technology training. support technology planning, program development, disaster recovery, and capacity planning. They will provide technical expertise in emerging technology areas.

- This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure efficient operations and optimal performance
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment
- Monitor and evaluate system performance and security, implementing necessary measures to safeguard data and protect against cyber threats
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, promptly resolving IT-related issues and inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing overall IT functionality and productivity
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to drive efficiency and competitiveness
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Tier 3 Clearance
Required Skills:
- Strong IT systems, networks, and infrastructure knowledge, including hardware, software, and cybersecurity
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting servers, workstations, and networking equipment
- Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and data storage solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are highly desirable
