ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at ARETUM, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient management of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse in accordance to Ft. Belvoir, C5ISR, RTI Directorate standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Offload trucks utilizing forklift.
- Receive items purchased for Government customers.
- Scan all receiving package tracking numbers into database upon receipt.
- Inventory packages and verify materials against receiving documents.
- Email receiving documents to the purchasing contractor and request government form DD250.
- Once received, print DD250, packing slips, and invoice/receipt generating packages for the voucher, Government end user and Government POC.
- Create voucher and attach two packages to the corresponding received items.
- Create DD250 to be included in the package if received items meet or exceed property threshold.
- Notify property team members of property items for photographing and barcoding.
- Tag items designated for property with property barcodes and classification tags, if required.
- Place items with complete packages on outgoing shelves for pick-up/delivery.
- Email government end user notifying them packages are available for pickup.
- Deliver receivables utilizing forklift, pickup and/or box truck.
- Process milstrips upon receipt, as directed.
- Provide a copy of each package to the Government end user.
- Coordinate with end user the delivery of special, palletized, or bulk items.
- Operate a pallet jack to move palletized items as required.
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Close vouchers within the database upon receipt of printed name, signature and date from Government end user or authorized personnel listed on end user’s DA1687 or SLOC.
- Maintain a hard copy file of voucher packages filed by Julian date.
- Consult with Government POC, Government end user and/or Government leadership, when specialized items are received or exceptions to policy are requested by the end user.
- Review open voucher report monthly for outstanding/ open vouchers and follow-up to close.
- Maintain an organized, clean, broom swept work environment free of debris, clutter, and trash.
- Review, respond to and act on electronic mail requests, individual and shared email addresses, on a daily basis.
- Adhere to company employee handbook policies and procedures.
- Complete all training upon request and within the allowed time restraints.
- Coordinate with Government POC and/or Team Lead when additional forklift service is required.
- Answer and respond to telephone calls and voice mail messages daily.
- Listen and communicate clearly and concisely with Government end user, Government Team Lead, Government POC, Marton-Aretum Team Lead (if applicable) and Marton-Aretum Program Manager.
- Log hours into designated electronic time keeping by close of business each workday.
- Report your location to MIRARS, by 09:00 AM, at the beginning of each workday.
- Ensure receiving office and warehouse are secured and locked prior to leaving at COB.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of technical supply management operations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
- Will handle dirty parts and lubricants.
- Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Will be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, etc.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds.
- May work in warehouse/maintenance shop/outside.
- Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
- May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicle.
