Software Engineer/Developer Subject Matter Expert

POSITION SUMMARY

IB3 Global Solutions is looking for a candidate who will assist our client in understanding application software requirements to from multiple end-users; recommending prioritization of software development resources at a strategic level; assessing information system design, development, testing, and maintenance of critical capabilities; supporting the transformation of legacy applications to modular, micro-services architecture; providing data architecture design, development, and test knowledge with respect to modern system design processes; and defining data and system architectures that support enterprise level software that may include Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

• Collect and characterize complex data and software requirements from multiple stakeholders
• Support analysis and development of existing application and data architectures
• Provide technical guidance to software development teams designing, developing and integrating applications using cloud and virtualization architecture
• Provide recommendations for technology implementations to meet mission needs, including present and future capacity requirements
• Recommend approaches for research and development to support mission requirements, analytic needs, and use by diverse applications, services, and systems
• Prototype new technologies from State-of-the-Art (SOTA). This will include evaluating new technology, reviewing existing technology and architecture, helping guide and estimate new feature development, development guardrails, and identifying ways to measure system maturity objectively, to include identifying performance evaluation metrics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of related experience involving application of scientific principles.
• Experience and knowledge of development environments, frameworks, scripting language(s) (e.g., Python) or a programming language (e.g., C++)
• Experience with modern development approaches (DevSecOps, MLOps)
• Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), AI RMF, and/or Enterprise Risk Management
• Familiarity developing applications that use containers, micro-services programming, application interfaces (API), and cloud services
• Familiarity with estimating software development resource requirements
• Ability to provide recommendations derived from complex set of requirements
• Must be able to work independently and complete tasking with minimum guidance and supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and use of Teams.
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Minimum Secret clearance and ability to attain and hold a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligible

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or mathematics related discipline

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active TS//SCI
• Master's degree
• Experience in Dev/Sec/Ops delivery of software capabilities
• Experience with DoD Command & Control (C2) networks (JADC2, IEW, etc.)
• Certification in agile software development methods (Scrum, SAFe)

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Up to 20% Travel, potential international travel included
• Potential for limited remote/telework depending on classified information being worked on/with
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and travel to various locations.
