Job Description:
NuvoLogic Consulting is seeking a Solutions Architect to support the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience (ODR&R) project. This position will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust and scalable architecture solutions that underpin advanced data analytics tools and products, such as ArcGIS and predictive models, used for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
As a Solutions Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance architectural solutions for the SBA ODR&R. You will lead the development of robust data architectures, ensure seamless integration of data sources and analytics tools, and provide technical guidance to development teams. Your role will involve evaluating new technologies, including AI/ML, managing data architecture strategies, and creating detailed documentation while collaborating closely with stakeholders, including IT teams, data scientists, and product owners. Additionally, you will oversee the quality assurance of architectural solutions and address any technical challenges, ensuring alignment with project goals and enhancing disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and design comprehensive architecture solutions that align with the project requirements. Ensure that the architecture supports scalability, performance, and integration with existing systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring that architectural designs are implemented effectively. Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT teams, data scientists, and product owners, to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Design and implement integration strategies for various data sources, analytics tools, and platforms. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between systems.
- Develop and manage data architecture strategies that support the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large datasets. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies that can enhance the project’s capabilities and performance. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and architecture.
- Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans. Ensure that all technical documentation is up-to-date and accessible to project stakeholders.
- Work with Quality Assurance teams to ensure that architectural solutions meet quality standards and performance benchmarks. Oversee the testing of architecture components and address any issues that arise.
- Engage with the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and other key stakeholders to align architectural designs with project goals. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
- Identify potential risks associated with architectural decisions and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve any technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, with a strong background in designing and implementing complex architecture solutions.

- Knowledge of virtualization, networking, and system monitoring tools
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar are highly desirable.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have a valid Green Card to work.
Required Skills
- Expertise in designing scalable and high-performance architecture solutions.
- Familiarity with data analytics and GIS mapping platforms and tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, AGOL, ArcGIS Hub).
- Strong understanding of database systems, data warehousing, and data integration technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar certifications are desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based architecture and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience in public sector is preferred.
- Experience and familiarity with SBA IT systems and infrastructure is a strong plus.
