Full Job Description
As a Sr. Salesforce Engineer, you would be responsible for creating custom code with the latest versions of Java and JavaScript, as well as utilizing REST APIs in a DevOps environment, operating on SaaS platform (Salesforce). The main portion of this position would not be responsible to perform declarative programing – this is typically left to the Jr. Engineers on the team - we are looking for a Sr. Engineer to create customized solutions not offered through the out-of-the-box options provided by the SaaS platform.
Salesforce Developer Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable solutions using Java and JavaScript on our SaaS platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Utilize REST APIs to integrate other application services and enhance platform functionality.
- Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the software development lifecycle, including planning, estimation, and documentation.
Requirements
- A current and active TS/SCI clearance with Poly. Can wave the clearance requirement for a candidate with strong Salesforce experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred), with at least 6 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (9 years without a degree).
- Proficiency in Java and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Solid experience working with REST APIs and web services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Salesforce training or certification is a plus, but not required.
