We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer – Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team.
Primary Job Duties
· Knowledge of Infrastructure as a code language, with previous work experience with Ansible required.
· Work experience with Eclipse developmental duties utilizing Git Hub, Dev Ops, Java and Python.
· Assist with the design of the organization's technology architecture and implementation of hardware and software infrastructure.
· Evaluate the current environment and support creation of a platform roadmap, analyze system performance and recommend corrective and preemptive actions.
· Conceptualize, design, and implement solutions to problems reported or discovered, and continuously improve the quality of service.
· Deliver timely and high-quality solutions to customer problems and requests focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer.
· Partner with Premier Technical Account Managers to effectively manage hot-sites including documented action plans and daily status updates for the customer and management.
· Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and to efficiently resolve customer problems.
· Possess knowledge of Exchange 2013 or 2016.
· Recognize issues, Identify the facts, Define additional data that would be helpful, Make assumptions as necessary, Determine alternative approaches, Evaluate alternatives, Make recommendations, Alter assumptions and rework solutions, and Reflect on lessons learned.
· Possess broad system experience and understanding of supporting elements of the architecture including the OS and relevant networks.
· Demonstrated experience in scripting and SQL.
Candidate should have experience in security review of applications and infrastructure.
· 4+ Years experience participating in agile activities.
· Researches new technologies in object-oriented programming.
· Experience in Cloud based services.
· Works well in an engineering team environment with other teammates who varied skills levels.
· Ability to mentor others.
· Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Vagrant, etc.
· Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.
· Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc
· Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, etc.
Job Requirements
· Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security is required
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Sixteen (16) years of relevant professional work experience
· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
· Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships
· Ability to prioritize, demonstrated strong organizational skills, and ability to meet or exceed deadlines
Physical Demands: Position will require frequent sitting, standing, and/or mobility within an office setting. Employee must be able to use hands to complete work at a workstation/computer, be able to reach, type and manipulate with hands, fingers, and arms; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; talk, see and hear.
Work Environment: Work is performed on client site in a professional office environment with moderate stress and noise levels. Position requires employee to effectively use a computer, potentially for long periods of time, and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions. Candidate should be both customer-focused and present a team approach to overall work.
Schedule: Business core hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Standard work hours may vary for this position based upon contract requirements. Position will be located onsite at a customer facility.
