About the Job
As a general manager at True Blue Roofing & Siding, you will use your creativity and leadership abilities to lead a diverse team of employees in sales, production, and product delivery. You will wear many hats, so it will require big-picture decision-making abilities and attention to detail to find success in this role. You will be working alongside skilled teams of laborers, and team leads to help grow and expand our business while maintaining the original vision of True Blue.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the development and implementation of marketing and growth strategies in the company business model
- Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Assist with the oversight and management of customer accounts.
- Identify and implement effective feedback collection methods to continuously improve service quality. Oversee and manage the resolution of client complaints, providing negotiation as needed.
- Ensure that all necessary insurance policies remain up to date.
- Design and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures. Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to ensure changes align with company values and goals.
- Provide guidance, training, mentoring, development, and support to direct reports, including laborers, field staff, and salespeople. Participate in performance development processes to ensure growth and compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with determining staffing requirements and participate in hiring, training, and development of all employees on True Blue’s team.
- Lead weekly departmental meetings, participate in performance reviews and disciplinary meetings, and conduct termination procedures as needed.
- Drive continual improvement programs alongside the leadership team.
- Other duties as prescribed by managing authority.

Desired Qualifications/Education
Our ideal candidate will have a majority of the below skills/qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in roofing – preferable in both commercial and residential roofing.
- Demonstrated expertise or knowledge base in the roofing industry's vast array of products and services. Ability to develop a working knowledge base of products and services offered by the company.
- Proven track record in estimating, bidding, and OSHA compliance.
- Strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail
