Full Job Description

VMax Technologies & Network Engineering is currently seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' computer systems and networks. Your strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of IT infrastructure will play a critical role in delivering excellent customer service and resolving technical issues efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, servers, and network devices.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system backups.
  • Setting up and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
  • Assisting in the management and administration of IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Providing training and guidance to end-users on hardware and software usage.
  • Documenting all support activities, including resolutions and troubleshooting steps.
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends and advancements in IT technology.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, configurations, and devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to providing excellent support.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems is preferred.
