Role
We are seeking a skilled, passionate and experienced Lead Cabinet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinetry and furniture assembly/installation, experience and familiarity with Ikea cabinetry, an obsession for detail, commitment to detail and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will also have possession of a turn-key tool collection related to cabinetry installation. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and installing cabinetry in mostly residential remodels and delivering the highest standards of quality & customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Perform assigned cabinetry projects from beginning to end in kitchens, closets, bathrooms, offices, laundry rooms, etc according to project specifications. This includes job site protection (ram board on floors, plastic sheeting covering valuables in home) at the beginning of the project, cleaning, vacuuming, and disposing of job-related waste at the end of the project.
- Take a detailed inventory at the start of each project, filling out a report to HQ with any missing or damaged items within the first 4 hours of the job.
- Assemble furniture and ensure all pieces are securely and correctly put together.
- Measure and mark installation areas to ensure precise alignment and fit. Draw the layout of the project on the walls with design elevations attached to each wall to be easily read and understood by all involved in the project
- Utilize various tools and equipment safely and effectively for installation and assembly tasks, using as much noise and debris reduction as possible
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Clear and constant communication with client, on-site team members, general contractors (when applicable) and BEHQ to address any and all issues, adjustments/solutions during the installation process as well as detailed reports with photos upon job completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment, ensuring all tools, materials and hardware are properly stored, accounted for and out of harms way.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, dress code, behavior standards and procedures at all times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Represent Brave Element by providing unmatched customer service, clear and concise communication and documentation, and ensure complete customer satisfaction with completed work
Minimum qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various positions such as kneeling, standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders, etc.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a team leader
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creative problem-solving skills, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Installer or similar role in the cabinetry or furniture industry with at least 2 references.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for cabinet installation and furniture assembly.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, inventory reports and technical drawings.
- Ability to fill out report forms
- Proficiency and passion for hand and power tools best used for completing cabinetry projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- More than 3 years of proven experience working with IKEA cabinetry
- Experience with custom cabinetry and high-end furniture installations
- Experience and interest in using social media as part of your role to continue marketing content on a daily basis.
- Knowledge and confidence in handling small and seldom aspects of remodeling such as moving electrical or plumbing
