The Role:
The Marketing Manager or Director of Marketing (based on experience) will provide marketing and pre-sales support for all revenue-generation activities at Ossia: campaigns, website traffic, email marketing, social media marketing, and inbound marketing. Due to the nature of a startup, this role is uniquely suited for a hungry marketer looking for the next step in their career to take ownership of the marketing function at a fast-growing technology company.
As the Marketing Manager / Marketing Director, you will be tasked with understanding Ossia’s audience and offerings to deliver effective marketing solutions and ultimately grow our business. This individual will manage agencies, external vendors, contractors, and freelancers to raise brand awareness and generate quality leads. The role is an individual contributor within the company and reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Work with marketing teams and stakeholders to oversee the development of strategic marketing plans.
- Manage Ossia’s events presence, including Ossia’s own annual customer conference, Ossia Imagine.
- Be creative in how to position Cota Real Wireless Power across vertical markets, finding marketing campaigns that influence and convert into sales qualified leads.
- Bring a strong background in design, collateral, social media, and web presence.
- Manage all email marketing campaigns with Ossia’s robust email database. Build monthly communications plans, and work with sales to continually update sales nurture and drip campaigns.
- Lead Ossia’s paid efforts across account based marketing, social media and online presence.
- Own Ossia’s website and all external facing documents with copy, design, version control and updates.
- Manage Ossia’s thought leadership, blog, whitepapers and contributed articles to set Ossia up as the well-known global standard of wireless power.
- Manage Ossia’s public relations agency and secure earned and paid media that supports Ossia’s brand.
- Lead the execution of agreed-upon marketing plans and campaigns from concept to final analysis.
- Manage external agencies and contractors to ensure all campaign and employee development activities are on track.
- Conduct regular meetings with company leadership to report status on all marketing-related activities and how they perform in relation to overall company goals.
- Interface with customers over email, virtual calls, and in-person meetings/ events.
Requirements
- Strong background with 10 years in senior marketing and campaign-driven roles.
- Refined communication, management, leadership, and analytical skills.
- The ideal candidate will have a diverse marketing background that spans several different components of marketing, including automation, content generation, social media, email marketing, event marketing, campaign management, partner marketing, product marketing, public relations, collateral creation, inbound marketing strategy, advertising and SEO.
- Proficiency using marketing and content management systems. Hubspot is ideal.
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and executive teams.
- Experience working in a new product development environment and an understanding of the startup environment.
- A strong candidate should have both a technical and customer-first mindset and should have industry experience in several of the following and expertise in at least one:
- Experience designing marketing campaigns, executing from start to finish and reporting on results.
- Implementation and updating of marketing automated campaigns, nurture campaigns and external brand presence.
- Sales support
- Email and content marketing
- Event and partner marketing
- SEO and web optimization understanding
- Management of a Public Relations Agency
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience. A Master’s degree is a plus, though not required.

Salary Range: 125–150k, plus equity and bonus
