The Senior Accountant-General Ledger supports the Finance team with a wide variety of functions which include transactional processing, general ledger account reconciliation, monthly journal entry preparation, annual audit support and financial reporting. This position will assist with the implementation of compliance controls. Serves as a key resource for the organization by providing oversight to ensure that financial records are complete and accurate.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Perform and review complex month-end closing activities
- Record cash transactions and prepare bank reconciliations
- Analyze and reconcile complex Balance Sheet accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Process fixed asset acquisitions and disposals
- Prepare month-end financial reporting packages for various entities
- Assist with development of various accounting processes in area of responsibility
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing work processes and procedures affecting month and quarter end financial close
- Prepare annual personal property tax return
- Serve as a point-of-contact and resource for auditors; provide audit schedules, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Effectively produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the business operational, financial and strategic decisions
- Participate in other projects and assignments as needed to support the goals of the department

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years Accounting experience
- Strong Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Consolidations
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (V-lookups, Sum-ifs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years ERP (D365 or similar) software experience
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Public company experience
- Experience with SAP Concur
- CPA or CMA preferred

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 Depending on experience and location.
