LEVEL DESIGNER 3

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Every partnership we engage with brings a new set of specific needs, but the skills you will be flexing include:
- Collaborating with internal and external teams/disciplines to achieve end-user experience goals
- Conceptualizing, documenting, and ideating levels and spaces
- Working with a variety of technologies, systems, and platforms
- Grey-boxing, pacing, layout beats, scripting, encounters, and gameplay implementation
- Testing, debugging, optimizing level performance, and streaming
- Engaging in environmental storytelling, world building, tone, setting, and art propping
- Managing and maintaining work and documentation
- Actively contributing to the improvement of pipelines and the team around you
- Being a source of knowledge and mentorship to others
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- A collaborative spirit, working seamlessly across both internal and external teams and disciplines
- Proactive problem-solving skills, committed to seeing issues through to full resolution
- Exceptional active communication skills with reliable follow-through
- Experience in conceptualizing, developing, and shipping levels from start to finish
- A keen sense of 3D game space, pacing, flow, immersion, player motivation, and aesthetics
- Strong understanding of and comfort with technical concepts, logic, and logic flow
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine
- Experience in console development
NICE TO HAVE
- Knowledge and understanding of additional development roles, such as Production, Engineering, Art, or QA
- Experience in developing networked games and cooperative experiences
- Familiar with Maya, Max, or equivalent 3D software

- Work Location: Hybrid in the Seattle area, or Fully Remote
- Seattle, WA Pay Range: $80k-130K, varies by work location
