The Experience Generator team is a highly skilled specialty runtime team within the client retail organization.
As a tier-1 service, we value availability of our customers features above all else.
The team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with high throughput service and applications.
Your solutions will impact our customers directly!
Primary responsibilities include developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (JAVA), performing queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
Responsibilities also include working alongside development on client Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems, Operating a largescale container-based workload to deliver with operational excellence while meeting/exceeding system SLAs (e.g. Availability, Latency).
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.
They must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.
Preferred coding skills: Perl and/or Java.
Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX.
A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
5+ years of relevant experience is required.
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Distributed Systems Architecture: currently using (6+ yrs)
Programming Languages- Java: currently using (6+yrs )
JavaScript: used within a year (2-4yrs)
Top 3 must-have have skills
