Full Job Description

EWA Government Systems, Inc., a Sigma Defense company, is seeking a System Administrator to augment the core team that develops and implements a variety of computer-based products for our military customers.

This position is in support of ongoing software development programs. The selected candidate will work in a structured, multidisciplinary team environment in Fairmont, WV.

Requirements

  • Experience as a System Administrator of LAN/WAN systems, systems maintenance, and systems monitoring and reporting.
  • Linux experience.
  • Strong understanding of virtual and physical networking configuration.
  • Strong hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skillset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Bash, Python, and or Perl scripting.
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Experience with Git-based environments.
  • DoD 8750/DoN 5239 IAT Level II certification (Security + CE).

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 5 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or similar field of study.

Essential Job Duties (not all inclusive):

  • Support ongoing software development programs.
  • Provide proactive monitoring and maintenance of all machines and backups.
  • Provide advice and training to end-users.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Conduct STIG reviews utilizing ACAS and manual checks to ensure DoD Security is being met.
  • Work with ISSO/ISSM to monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources: Security Policies and Procedures, Continuity Plan, and Incidence Response Plan.
  • Collaborate with ISSO/ISSM to create and track POA&Ms, exceptions, and mitigations.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 annually.
