As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing immediate assistance in the event of an emergency. Your keen observational skills and assertive demeanor will help manage the aquatic area, creating a secure atmosphere in our structured lessons. starting pay at $15- 18 an hour
Responsibilities
- Monitor swimming areas for safety compliance and address any hazardous situations
- Enforce pool policies and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including performing first aid and CPR as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the swim area, including equipment and facilities
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting patrons with questions and concerns
- Educate swimmers about safety practices and emergency procedures
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and staff meetings to stay current on policies and safety protocols
Requirements
- Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization
- CPR and first aid certification for the professional rescuer
- Strong swimming skills and competency in various water rescue techniques
- Ability to remain vigilant and alert at all times during shifts
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be at least 16 years old (or 18 for certain roles)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
