Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Responsibilties: 

• Records patient's vital signs information on patients' charts
• Prepares exam/treatment rooms
• must be able to operate EKGs and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
• Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA-regulated forms, and provides assistance at the front desk
• Maintaining the sterilization of tools and following guidelines to maintain health compliance
• Dispensing medications (Injections and Oral) performs routine laboratory tests
• Logs data into the system to maintain clinic and patient records up to date
• Stocking/Ordering supplies as needed
• Schedules appointments and makes follow-up phone calls to patients

Requirements

• Active certification as a Medical Assistant.
• 1-2 years of direct experience in medical assistance.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• License or certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
