ThriveOn King Collaboration and Colliers | WI is seeking a dedicated Commercial Building Engineer to play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and tenant satisfaction within our transformative development. Located at 2153 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, at the heart of Halyard Park, Harambee, and Brewers Hill neighborhoods, ThriveOn King represents a significant opportunity to catalyze economic and social benefits for communities disproportionately affected by disparities.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance and Operation:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building systems and equipment, ensuring pumps, valves, electrical, and mechanical devices operate optimally.
- Install and adjust building equipment as necessary to maintain peak performance.
- Perform repairs on building finishes, including ceiling tiles and door hardware, and conduct painting tasks.
Safety and Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and grounds to identify and address safety and maintenance needs promptly.
- Operate and maintain fire and life safety systems to comply with codes and regulations.
- Adhere rigorously to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
Emergency Response and Tenant Support:
- Respond promptly to emergencies and tenant requests to uphold high standards of tenant satisfaction.
- Contribute to maintaining the building’s safety, security, and operational functionality.
Process Improvement:
- Evaluate maintenance processes and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
Requirements
Skills Required:
- Proven experience in maintenance, with a minimum of three years in commercial buildings preferred.
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Physical capability to meet job demands, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in smartphones, tablets, and computers for work tasks.
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and demonstrating pride in workmanship.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance, with knowledge of building systems, operations, and maintenance practices.
