MISSION:
Launch and grow our four unique apparel brands, transforming them into household names by leveraging innovative strategies and data-driven decisions. Your focus will be on ensuring this growth is achieved both profitably and efficiently, maximizing brand recognition while maintaining financial health by delivering exceptional customer experiences and optimizing every aspect of our eCommerce operations.
Job Summary:
You must be a smart, highly motivated leader who can drive our DTC Ecommerce strategy and execution to achieve rapid and profitable growth. As the Director of Ecommerce, you will manage a portfolio of DTC Ecommerce brands within Wantable, Inc. This role requires a seasoned professional who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into the details of online retail operations, site functionality, and user experience.
Expected Outcomes (within first 6 months):
1. 78&SUNNY Website
- Analyze the website and optimize for conversion rate, and AOV without significant use of offers
- Assess a 3rd party paid media agency and potentially bring it in-house.
- Manage a variable paid media budget as a percentage of revenue, increasing sales profitably.
- Work with internal teams to develop a strategy to use Wantable.com as a growth engine for the brand.
2. Interval Active Website
- Launch our Interval branded Website using your learnings from 78&SUNNY.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Ecommerce strategies that align with Wantable’s business goals, enhancing the online shopping experience and driving sales growth.
- Lead Ecommerce operations, including site functionality, user experience, website merchandising, and optimization.
2. Website Development & UX:
- Oversee website development, including the design, and deployment of new features, and functionalities to improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with our UX/UI designer to ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for a seamless customer journey across all devices.
- Manage and lead UX enhancements with creative, technology, and engineering teams, prioritizing projects and managing deadlines to meet milestones.
3. Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance site speed, usability, and overall performance.
- Optimize the customer journey across the entire lifecycle, monitoring and improving KPIs such as account creation, quiz start, and add-to-cart rates.
4. Analytics & Reporting:
- Maintain, enhance, and develop site performance reports and dashboards using Google Analytics, Data Studio, Looker, and Tableau.
- Utilize web analytics tools to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
5. Content Management:
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of website content, ensuring it is up-to-date, accurate, and aligns with brand messaging and marketing campaigns.
- Implement effective and best practice SEO strategies.
6. Paid Media Management:
- Oversee and initially directly manage Google and META paid campaigns.
7. Team Leadership:
- Mentor, develop and grow a high-performing eCommerce team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Ecommerce management, with a strong focus on website development, optimization, and UX.
- In-depth knowledge of web development technologies, Ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), and best practices.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, SEO, SEM, and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities, with experience managing and working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
