Full Job Description
Qualitative Health Research Consultants, LLC (QHRC) is recruiting a part-time Research Assistant to assist the company in research projects in our downtown Madison office. We are looking for highly motivated, empathetic, and analytical researchers who want to join our ten-year-old women-owned health services research consulting firm at the ground level.
Responsibilities include: Work 20-25 hours per week in our downtown, Madison office, flexible hours. For several studies involving health disparities, implementation science, clinical trials, and other healthcare related research topics. Tasks include: study coordination, assisting in conducting focus groups and interviews with study participants, participating in a bi-weekly qualitative methods workshop; learning NVivo software, code interview transcripts, attend coding meetings.
Requirements
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following qualifications:
- Excellent listening, verbal communication, and social skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Experience or interest in research interviewing and data analysis
- Experience or interest in writing up research results for publication
- Reliability and punctuality
- Skills using Office Suite software, including Word, Excel, Power Point
- Comfort with Apple Computers
- Background in health policy or clinical research
- Spanish-speaking a plus
- BA or BS in progress or completed in a Health Science or Social Science discipline
- MUST live in Wisconsin, preferably in the Madison area
Benefits
This position is compensated at a rate of $24-26/hour, depending on education level and experience. We are a fun, flexible workplace located downtown near bus and bike lines, and many coffee shops.
