Youth Apprenticeship - Mechanic Shop

Keller Inc., a reputable Design/Build General Contractor, is offering a Youth Apprenticeship opportunity in our Mechanic Shop. As a 100% employee-owned company, we are committed to providing valuable learning experiences and opportunities for growth. This position will allow you to gain hands-on experience and work alongside skilled mechanics and technicians in our well-equipped shop.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics and technicians with repairs, maintenance, and inspections of construction equipment and vehicles
• Perform routine tasks such as changing oil, replacing filters, and checking fluid levels
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Assist with parts inventory management and organization
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements

• Enrolled in a high school youth apprenticeship program in the automotive or diesel mechanic field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in mechanic shops
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
