Electrical Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree (electrical engineering) from a school of engineering accredited by ABET (accreditation board for engineering and technology) with a program that included differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
Minimum 3 years of experience utilizing electrical engineering techniques in the operations, maintenance, repair, and construction of infrastructure and facilities, including buildings, pavements, and utility systems.
Ability to regularly inspect/survey facilities to identify deficiencies for incorporation into Asset Management Plans. Will ensure planned and prioritized requirements comply with published business rules and are documented to effectively advocate for resources at the Air Force Corporate Board. Will incorporate assessment results into applicable databases and Sustainment Management Systems (SMS) on a regular basis.
Ability to plan, organize, and lead others in studies, designs, and construction projects, record and manage the processes and documentation, and to negotiate effectively to accept and implement recommendations.
Ability to communicate fluently in English both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships.
